- Can I call other people who don't have ClaroLITE? View answer
Of course! You can call anyone outside the ClaroLITE network at very low rates. Just recharge your ClaroLITE with ClaroCOM Prepaid Cards and you are ready to talk.
- Does it cost me anything when I receive a call? View answer
Not at all. It does not cost you anything to receive calls in your ClaroLITE. The caller assumes the cost, just like it happens with a conventional phone line.
- How are people going to reach my ClaroLITE? View answer
To receive calls just tell your friends to call the local access number according to their area, and then enter your extension number. Once they have dialed the call, your ClaroLITE will start ringing on your PC and you will be able to answer and carry out a conversation like you would on a conventional telephone. If your PC is turned off, or the ClaroLITE software is not running, or if you are not connected to the Internet, you will not lose your calls because they will be answered by our Voice Mail, which will send the voice messages to your email address.
- What do I need to start calling for FREE with ClaroLITE? View answer
You only need a PC with sound card, speakers and microphone or a headset, an Internet connection and download the ClaroLITE file from www.clarolite.com. This file is so small that you can even take with you wherever you go in your laptop, USB flash drive or mini CD. ClaroLITE will work with even a Dial Up connection.
- What is CIN? View answer
ClaroLITE Identification Number (CIN). This number identifies you as a ClaroLITE user. It is your account number. We send this number to your email after you register. It is very important that you take note of this number, because the application will always ask you to login with your CIN and your password. You can also find your CIN like this:
- Login at www.clarolite.com
- Click on My Profile, and press the ClaroLITE tab.
- Your CIN will be on the column to the right.
- What are the access numbers where people can call me? View answer
ClaroLITE has five (5) access numbers where you can be reached:
- Panamá: 202-0400
- Colón: 471-0400
- David: 700-0400
- Aguadulce: 920-0400
- Chorrera: 246-0400
After dialing the access number, they just need to enter your extension.
- I downloaded the program. How do I run it? View answer
The ClaroLITE application creates a shortcut on your Desktop:
- Double click on the ClaroLITE shortcut.
- Enter your Login information: CIN (ClaroLITE ID Number) and password. We send your CIN to your email immediately after you register in the site. If you forgot your CIN, your can login in www.clarolite.com and see it in My Profile tab. You define your password while filling out the Register form.

Follow these simple steps to receive it in your email:
- Click in “My Profile”
- Click in “Forgot your password?”
- Enter your email address (the one you registered with us).
- We will send your password to your email right away.
- What is my extension number View answer
ClaroLITE extension numbers are short, five-digit numbers. We immediately send your extension number to your email after you register in www.clarolite.com and activate your account. You can also find it by logging in www.clarolite.com and accessing your account in My Profile.
- How do I purchase more credit? View answer
You have two ways to recharge credits at www.clarolite.com. Just login and click on the Recharge tab.
- Recharge using a PIN: You can purchase any ClaroCOM Card in any store in the country and recharge your ClaroLITE with it. All you need to do is enter the card’s PIN number and click Recharge.
- Buy credits online: Purchase credit online with your credit card. Just choose the denomination you want, fill out your credit card information and once the transaction is approved, your PIN number will be shown onscreen and also will be sent to your email.
- I bought a ClaroCOM Card in a local store. Can I use it from my ClaroLITE? View answer
Yes, you can! Follow these easy steps:
- Go to www.clarolite.com
- Log in.
- Click on Recharge.
- Enter the PIN number of your prepaid card.
- I have friends with ClaroLINE IP phone lines. Can I call those numbers? View answer
You can call any phone line with your ClaroLITE. Just recharge it with credits and you are all set.
- Can I receive calls in my ClaroLITE even if I’m abroad (not in the Republic of Panama)? View answer
Yes, you can. ClaroLITE works through the Internet. So if you are abroad, you may download the program and install it in any PC and log in with your CIN (ClaroLITE ID Number) and password. Your contacts in Panama will be able to call you at a cost as low as if you were still at home or at the office.
- What hardware do I need to use this service? View answer
You only need a PC with sound card, speakers and microphone (or headset) and an Internet connection. Even Dial Up will work fine.
- How can I tell if a friend has ClaroLITE? How can I invite someone to have it? View answer
- Register in www.clarolite.com and go to My Profile. Enter your friend’s email and click Search.
- If your friend is already a registered ClaroLITE user, his/her extension number will appear onscreen.
- If your friend is not registered, you will have the option to invite him/her to download ClaroLITE. Just click on Invite.
- How do I make a call from my PC to another PC? View answer
To make free calls from PC to PC, both of them need to have the ClaroLITE software installed. To make the call, just dial the extension number of the receiving party directly. Extension numbers have five digits.
- How can look for a friend’s extension number? View answer
Register in www.clarolite.com and go to My Profile. Enter your friend's email and click Search.
- If I’m not at my computer when someone tries to reach me, how can I pick up my messages? View answer
You can access your voice mail from phone line:
- Dial the access number 202-5555
- For English prompts, press 1.
- Enter your ClaroLITE phone number.
- Enter you password. The default password is 1234. You may modify it once you log in the system.
- Browse through the different options of the Voice Mail Menu, following the recorded operator prompts:
- Press 1 to listen to your messages
- Press 2 to change folders
- Press 0 for mailbox options
- Press * for help
- Press # to exit
- If someone wants to call me at my ClaroLITE, what number do they have to use? View answer
Your contacts are able to use any of the access numbers provided. For example, if they want to call you using the Panama City access number, they will dial 202-0400 followed by your extension number. They should use the local access number in respect to their location.
- How do I choose what access number to use? View answer
ClaroCOM has provided several access numbers to enable people to choose a local number to call ClaroLITE users, regardless of where the ClaroLITE user is.
For example, if I am in David and I want to call a ClaroLITE user in Panama City, I can call him/her at 700-0400 (local number for the city of David), followed by the extension number, and star talking. Since I called the local access number in David, the cost of my call to my friend in Panama City is the same as a local call, and my friend receives the call at no cost.
- How much does it cost to call a ClaroLITE? View answer
For the person receiving the call, it has no cost. The person making the call will pay for it according to their fixed line or mobile rate plan.
- My ClaroLITE is not logging in. What can I do? View answer
This is probably due to incorrect login information. Where it says ACCOUNT you must enter your Account or CIN (ClaroLITE Identification Number). Where it says PASSWORD, enter the same password that you used when you registered in our web site.
- If you still cannot log in, please check for firewall restrictions on your computer or workplace. ClaroLITE requires opening of the RTP and SIP ports.
- If you still cannot log in, try the following:
- Click on the ACCOUNT LOGIN icon on the top right to display the LOGIN screen and click the ENTER button. If you still cannot log in, proceed to the following step.
- Close the SYSTEM TRAY application and run it again. Make sure that your data is correct and click ENTER. If you still cannot log in, contact Customer Support at our toll free numbers 171 (Panama) or 1-877-452-4930 (USA/Canada/Puerto Rico/ Dominican Republic).
